Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. quick oats
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Pour water over oats.
Let stand 20 minutes.
Cream shortening and sugars.
Add eggs, then oatmeal and vanilla.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Add to oatmeal mixture, mixing well.
Pour into large rectangular pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
Is good without frosting.
