Christmas Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 oz. pkg. cherry jello
    1 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. \"red hot\" candy
    1/2 c. pineapple, drained
    1/2 c. seedless grapes
    1/2 c. apples
    1/2 c. pecans
Preparation
    Mix pineapple, grapes, apples and pecans.
    Pour boiling water over jello and candy and cook over low heat until all red hots are dissolved.
    Remove from stove; add in juice from can of pineapple and enough water mixed with it to equal a cup of liquid.
    Mix well with spoon.
    Put in refrigerator (in a bowl) until firm.
    Mix in jello mixture (after firm) and mix with fruits, then put in serving dish.
    Chill until ready.
