Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. plain flour
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. shortening
    5 eggs
    1 1/4 c. milk
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Grease and flour tube pan.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
    Set aside.
    Cream butter, sugar and shortening until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Alternately add flour mixture and milk to creamed mixture.
    Add extracts and beat until well blended.
    Spoon into prepared tube pan and bake in preheated oven for 1 1/4 hours or until cake tests done. Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes.
