Gingersnaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 unbeaten egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
extra sugar
Preparation

Mix shortening and 1 cup sugar; beat well.
Add unbeaten egg; beat again.
Add molasses; mix well.
Mix dry ingredients and add, mixing well.
Form into small balls and dip in white sugar.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until they crack (about 10 minutes).
Don't overbake.
