Strawberry Pretzel Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. pretzels, crushed
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    3/4 c. butter, softened
    1/3 c. coarsely chopped pecans
    8 oz. cream cheese, softened
    1 scant c. granulated sugar
    8 oz whipped topping
    6 oz. strawberry gelatin
    2 c. boiling water
    2- 10 oz. frozen strawberries
Preparation
    Mix crushed pretzels, one half cup of the sugar, butter and pecans together.
    Press mixture very lightly into a 13 x 9 inch pan.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Cool.
    Combine cream cheese, one cup sugar and whipped topping.
    Spread on top of pretzel layer.
    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
    Add frozen strawberries.
    When 75 percent congealed,
    put on top of cream cheese layer.
    Refrigerate for several hours or overnight before serving.
