Beef Burgundy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 to 4 slices bacon, chopped
1 large onion, sliced
2 lb. lean stew beef, cut in small pieces
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. marjoram leaves
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 c. beef bouillon
1 c. Burgundy wine
Preparation

Fry bacon; add onion and brown slightly.
Set bacon and onion aside.
Drain off most of bacon fat.
In remaining fat, brown stew beef.
Sprinkle with flour, marjoram and thyme.
Stir in bouillon and wine, then add onions and bacon.
Place in large covered casserole.
Bake for 3 to 4 hours in 250\u00b0 oven (covered) or microwave about 1 1/2 hours on \"Simmer\" level.
