Date Fingers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 stick margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. chopped dates
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In saucepan, melt margarine.
    Beat in sugar, egg and vanilla. Stir in dates and nuts.
    Bring slowly to a boil.
    Cook on low heat for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies.
    Cool and shape into small rolls.
    Roll in powdered sugar.
