Praline Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 c. light brown sugar
    1 egg
    3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Melt the shortening over low heat.
    Remove and add brown sugar.
    Let cool.
    Stir in egg and remaining ingredients.
    Spread in a greased and floured 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
