Cheese-Pineapple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. crushed pineapple
    juice of 1 lemon (2 Tbsp.)
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. plain gelatin
    1/2 c. cold water
    3/4 c. grated American or mild Cheddar cheese
    1/2 pt. whipped cream
Preparation
    Heat pineapple.
    Add lemon juice and sugar.
    Stir to dissolve sugar.
    Soak gelatin in cold water for 10 minutes.
    Add to hot mixture.
    Put in icebox; when cool and when it begins to set, add cheese and whipped cream and then chill.
