Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    6 eggs
    3 c. plain flour
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add vanilla.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Sift dry ingredients together. Add alternately with buttermilk.
    Mix both mixtures together. Pour batter into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done.
