Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter or oleo
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    1 c. chopped pecans
    5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    5 egg yolks
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 small can coconut
Preparation
    Cream together margarine, shortening and sugar.
    Add egg yolks; beat well.
    Sift flour and soda; add alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture.
    Stir in vanilla, coconut and nuts. Fold in egg whites.
    Bake in 3 (9-inch) pans at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until done.
