Lemon Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter or 2 sticks margarine
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon extract
6 eggs
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1 c. sweet milk
Preparation

Cream the butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and lemon extract; blend well.
Add eggs, one at a time; continue beating after each addition.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Add flour mixture and milk alternately to creamed mixture; beat well.
Pour into large greased and floured tube pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours, depending on your oven, until cake tests done.
(Suggest testing with toothpick after 1 hour and 15 minutes).
