Old-Fashioned Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    4 c. flour (plain)
    10 eggs
    3 1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla butternut
Preparation
    Cream
    butter;\tadd
    sugar and cream together.\tAdd the eggs, one
    at
    a\ttime,
    beating\tafter each egg.
    Add flour, gradually after each egg.
    Add vanilla;
    pour into steeple pan lined\twith waxed
    paper.
    Grease
    pan\tfirst.\tPlace in cold oven, temperature at 300\u00b0 and bake 1 hour.
    Then raise temperature
    to 325\u00b0
    and
    continue
    baking 40 minutes.
    Never look until time is over.
