Nut Squares(Yield: 3 Dozen. Do Ahead) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft butter
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 egg yolk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg white
    1 or more c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add flour, egg yolk and vanilla. Spread evenly in bottom of well-greased jelly roll pan (or other pan with low sides).
    Brush top with egg white.
    Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
    Bake at 275\u00b0 for 1 hour or until golden brown.
    Cut in squares.
    Store covered for 3 days before serving.
