Pineapple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Duncan Hines butter cake mix
    1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple (undrained)
    1 c. sugar
    1 stick margarine
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Prepare cake according to package directions.
    Take out 1 cup of mixture and set aside.
    Bake rest (2 layers).
    In a saucepan, mix pineapple, sugar, margarine and salt.
    Bring to a boil and cook 3 minutes.
    Add the 1 cup of reserved cake mixture and bring to a boil.
    Remove from heat.
    Cool slightly and use to frost cake.
    It will cover the top of both layers but not the sides.
