Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 or 2 (1 lb.) cans red kidney beans, drained
Preparation
    Brown meat lightly, stirring.
    Add remaining ingredients except beans.
    Bring to boil; cover and simmer 20 minutes.
    Add beans and simmer a few minutes longer.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
