Italian Beef Crock-Pot - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. boneless chuck roast
    salt and pepper
    1 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
    1 large onion
    2 or 3 cloves fresh garlic
    1 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
    1 tsp. anise seed
    1 tsp. rosemary
    1 tsp. sweet basil
Preparation
    Place roast in crock-pot.
    Salt and pepper slightly.
    Pour vinegar and water in.
    Chop large onion; place over heat.
    Add the garlic, Italian seasoning, anise seed, rosemary and sweet basil. Cook for 8 hours on high setting and for 4 hours on low setting.
