Chicken And Peas Pilau - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large onions, sliced
    1 1/2 c. uncooked rice
    3 Tbsp. oleo
    2 c. chopped cooked chicken
    10 oz. pkg. frozen green peas
    3 c. chicken broth
    salt and pepper
    pinch of saffron
Preparation
    Saute onions and rice in margarine until onions are transparent.
    Stir in broth, peas and chicken.
    Season with salt, pepper and saffron.
    Bring to a boil.
    Stir once or twice.
    Lower heat to simmer.
    Cover.
    Cook 15 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid absorbed.
    Fluff with fork.
    Makes 6 servings.
