Creamy Turkey Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large onion, chopped
3 ribs celery, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 tsp. garlic salt or powder
4 c. cooked turkey
5 medium carrots, chopped
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
1 to 2 c. turkey or chicken broth
6 Tbsp. butter
6 Tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
Preparation

In a large kettle, saute onion and celery in butter until tender, about 10 minutes. Stir in flour and seasonings; gradually add milk, stirring until thickened. Add turkey, carrots and enough broth until soup is desired consistency. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Add peas; cover and simmer another 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
