Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
4 c. milk
8 egg yolks, beaten
3 tsp. vanilla
4 c. whipping cream
Preparation

Blend sugar, salt, milk and egg yolks in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, just until mixture comes to a boil. Cool.
Add vanilla and whipping cream, without whipping. Freeze according to directions on freezer.
Makes 1 gallon.
