Buttermilk Raisin Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. buttermilk
    1/4 c. or more raisins
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 eggs, separated
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Mix cornstarch, sugar, salt and lemon juice; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and thickens.
    Beat egg yolks until thick; stir in a little of the hot mixture, then pour back into hot mixture and cook 2 minutes longer.
    Remove from heat and stir in raisins and butter.
    Cool slightly, then pour into baked 8-inch pie shell.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Add 1/4 cup sugar gradually.
    Swirl meringue over pie filling.
    Toast meringue.
