Apricot Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. apricots, uncooked
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Mix first 5 ingredients.
    Let cool.
    Add rest of ingredients. Put into 2 greased bread tins.
    I prefer nuts to All-Bran, but All-Bran could be substituted.
