Glorified Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. pickles or small cucumbers
    1 red pepper
    1 green pepper
    1 medium onion
    4 c. sugar
    3 c. apple vinegar (dark)
    4 Tbsp. pickling salt
Preparation
    Slice pickles or cucumbers, peppers and onions.
    Mix in gallon or large container.\tIn pan, mix sugar, vinegar and pickling salt.
    Heat until hot, about 5 minutes.
    Pour mix over pickles; mix well.\tLet set for 10 minutes.
    Put in containers. Cover and refrigerate.
    Will keep in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 months.
    Very crisp.
