Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream butter, shortening, sugar and eggs; add flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Roll into 1-inch balls and roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture.
    Place on cookie sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Do not brown cookies.
    Makes 6 dozen.
    Can use colored sugar crystals for Christmas decor.
