Egg Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. milk
    nutmeg if desired
Preparation
    Mix slightly beaten eggs, and add sugar, salt and milk. Add vanilla
    and
    nutmeg,
    if desired.
    Pour into unbaked pie shell and
    bake
    at
    450\u00b0
    until crust begins to brown.
    Then reduce heat
    to
    350\u00b0
    and
    bake custard until firm, about 45 minutes.
