Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine or butter
    2 oz. (2 sq.) unsweetened chocolate or 2 envelopes premelted unsweetened baking chocolate flavor
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. all-purpose or unbleached flour
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (if desired)
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease (not oil) and lightly flour bottom of an 8 or 9-inch square pan.
    In a large saucepan, melt margarine and chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat; cool slightly.
    Blend in sugar.
    Beat in eggs, one at a time.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Spread in prepared pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until set in center.
    Cool; cut into bars.
    Makes 24 bars.
