Tostadas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 corn tortillas
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. cooked mashed beans (hot)
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    shredded lettuce
    fresh tomatoes, chopped
    onions, chopped
Preparation
    Using tongs, immerse tortillas, one at a time, in hot shortening.
    Turn once while cooking until light golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
