Lime Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 pounds cucumbers, sliced not more than 1/8 to 1/4 inch
    2 gallons water
    2 scant cups lime
Preparation
    Soak in solution 24 hours, stirring 2 to 3 times.
    Drain and wash well.
    Cover with cold water.
    Let stand 3 hours.
