Cherry Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 (No. 2) can pineapple (juice and all)
    1 can cherry pie mix
    1 box white Deluxe cake mix (dry)
    2 sticks butter
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Place sugar on bottom of 9 x 14-inch pan.
    Add the next 3 ingredients in layers.
    Melt butter and pour over dry cake mix. Sprinkle pecans on top, if desired.
    Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for about 1 hour or until when tested, it is done.
