Butterhorns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c milk
    1/2 c sugar
    1 cake compressed yeast
    4 1/2 c flour
    1/2 c butter
    1 tsp salt
    3 beaten eggs
Preparation
    Heat milk to scalding.
    Add shortening, sugar and salt.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Add yeast and stir until dissolved.
    Add eggs and flour; mix to a smooth, soft dough.
    Knead lightly on floured surface.
    Place dough in a greased bowl.
    Cover and let rise in moderately warm place until double in size.
