Buttermilk Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 1/2 oz. crushed pineapple in syrup
    6 oz. orange or lime flavored gelatin
    2 c. buttermilk
    8 oz. frozen whipped topping, thawed
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (pecans or almonds)
Preparation
    In a large pan, bring pineapple and syrup to a boil.
    Stir in gelatin.
    Cool to room temperature.
    Stir in buttermilk; fold in whipped topping and nuts.
    Pour into an 8-cup mold.
    Chill 4 hours or overnight.
