French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 (1-inch thick) slices French bread
    5 eggs
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. half and half
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 c. butter (for cooking toast)
Preparation
    Beat eggs and sugar for 1 minute.
    Beat in rest of ingredients, except butter.
    Pour over slices of bread.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
    Cook in butter until lightly browned.
