Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. oil
    3 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    5 c. apples, chopped coarsely
Preparation
    Cream together sugar and oil.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Add vanilla, then dry ingredients, mixing well.
    Stir in chopped apples.
    Batter may be stiff.
    Pour into nonstick sprayed 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 55 to 60 minutes.
    Serve warm with whipped topping and nuts, if desired (walnuts or pecans).
