Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Granny Smith apples
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    pie crust mix
    2 c. water
    1/2 stick melted butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Prepare dough for crust; per package directions.
    Roll into 6 circles, 6-inches in diameter.
    Peel and core apples; dice into cubes and divide into 6 equal piles.
    Place each pile of apples in a round of dough and form into balls, shaping as you would a snowball.
    Place crimped side down; arrange all 6 balls in a glass baking dish.
    Pour over with a mixture made from the water, sugar, nutmeg, vanilla and melted butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Watch closely!
