Favorite Buttermilk Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Combine first 5 ingredients.
    Cut in shortening.
    Combine buttermilk and soda.
    Turn dough on floured surface.
    Knead 10 to 12 times.
    Roll to 1/2 inch thickness.
    Cut with a 2 3/4-inch biscuit cutter.
    Place on a lightly greased sheet.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Yields 10 biscuits.
