Congealed Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 small can crushed pineapple or 1/2 large can
1/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. lemon juice (optional)
1 small box jello (your favorite flavor)
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 (8 oz.) bowl Cool Whip
1 c. chopped pecans
1 small jar cherries, chopped (optional)
Preparation

Combine pineapple and sugar in a small pan and bring to a boil.
Add jello and stir until dissolved.
Add lemon juice.
Cool in refrigerator about 15 or 20 minutes.
Beat cream cheese until smooth and whip in Cool Whip.
Add pineapple mixture, pecans and cherries.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
