Black Pearl Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bottle clam juice (8 oz.)
    6 medium potatoes
    2 stalks celery
    2 medium onions
    6 strips bacon
    40 oz. regular milk (1 qt. plus 8 oz.)
    32 oz. light cream (2 pt.)
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 1/2 tsp. dill
    5 (6 1/2 oz. each) cans minced clams and juice
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Pour clam juice in a large pot.
    Add diced
    potatoes, diced celery and diced onions. Broil bacon, do not crisp.
    Dice and add bacon. Add milk, cream and butter (cut in half). Add clams and juice. Salt and pepper to taste.
    Add dill. Slowly simmer 90 minutes to 2 hours.
    Do not let boil. Do not use lid. Stir while cooking.
    Serves 5 1/2 quarts.
