Sausage Soup With Spinach And Wild Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. uncooked wild rice
    1 lb. turkey Italian sausage
    1 tsp. olive oil
    1 c. chopped onion
    3 cloves garlic, crushed
    3 c. water
    3 Tbsp. tomato paste
    1 tsp. dried oregano
    1 tsp. dried basil
    3 (16 oz.) cans fat-free, low-sodium chicken broth
    1 (14.5 oz.) can diced tomatoes (undrained)
    3 c. torn spinach
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    3 Tbsp. grated fresh Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Bring 1 1/2 cups water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
    Add wild rice; cover, reduce heat and simmer 1 hour or until tender. Set aside.
