Fruit Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 can prepared pie filling (cherry, peach or other)
1 c. oleo (2 sticks)
1 3/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 c. milk
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar; add beaten eggs and vanilla.
Add all dry ingredients; beat.
Spread on greased cookie sheet. Reserve about 1/2 cup batter, spread filling to within 1-inch of edge of pan, put rest of batter on top by small spoonfuls.
Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Cool and sprinkle top with powdered sugar and cut into bars or you can leave it plain.
