Spanish Rice With Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 1/4 c. uncooked rice
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (6 oz.) can mushroom sauce
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 can mushroom stems and pieces
    1/4 tsp. oregano, chili powder and pepper
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat butter in frying pan over medium heat.
    Add rice and saute along with onion and garlic until golden. Add meat and cook, stirring, until meat is browned and crumbly.
    Add tomatoes and then liquid, mushroom sauce, tomato sauce, mushrooms and their liquid, oregano, chili powder, pepper and salt.
    Mix well.
    Cover and simmer over low heat, stirring once or twice for 1 hour or until rice is tender.
    Serves 6.
