Smothered Broilers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

broilers weighing about 2 lb.
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. black pepper
lemon juice
Preparation

Cut broilers in half.
Rub with salt.
Let stay in refrigerator overnight.
When ready to cook, rub chicken with lemon juice.
Coat all sides with butter.
Place in broiling pan, skin side down.
Sprinkle with sugar, paprika and pepper.
Brown on both sides under broiler.
Cover with foil.
Bake at 275\u00b0 for 1 to 2 hours.
