Milkless, Butterless, Eggless Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. raisins
1/4 tsp. cloves
pinch of salt
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Boil in saucepan for 3 minutes sugar, water, shortening, raisins, spices and salt.
Cool.
Add flour, soda, baking powder and nuts.
Combine and bake in tube pan, greased and floured, for 45 to 60 minutes.
