Christmas Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. or 46 oz. jar kosher dill pickles
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. minced dry onions
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Drain vinegar off dills and discard.
    Cut pickles in chunks and put back in jar.
    Add all other ingredients.
    Let stay out of refrigerator and shake until sugar dissolves.
    Shake often.
    In 24 hours you have a crisp, sweet pickle.
    Refrigerate after sugar is dissolved.
