Marinated Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. salad oil
    1 Tbsp. water
    1 large bell pepper, diced
    1 can water chestnuts
    1 large purple onion, sliced
    1 c. celery, coarsely chopped
    1 can tiny English peas, drained
    1 can French green beans, drained
    1 can white Shoe Peg corn, drained
    1 jar pimento, drained
Preparation
    Mix pepper, salt, sugar, vinegar, salad oil and water.
    Bring to a rolling boil.
    Set aside to cool.
    Pour liquid over the combined vegetables.
    Let this sit in the refrigerator overnight before serving.
