Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter (2 sticks)
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
    6 to 8 qt. popped corn
Preparation
    Mix butter, brown sugar, syrup and salt in a large saucepan. Boil for 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and stir in soda and vanilla.
    Pour and mix well with popped corn.
    (Pecans, peanuts, walnuts or cashews may be added.)
    Bake in a 225\u00b0 oven for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
    Remove from oven.
    Cool.
    Store in covered container.
