Honey Drops - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening (part butter)
1 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. honey
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. soda
apricot or other jam
Preparation

Mix thoroughly shortening, brown sugar and eggs.
Stir in honey and vanilla.
Sift together and stir in flour and soda. Chill until firm (several hours or overnight).
Heat oven to 350\u00b0. Form dough into balls and place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes, until golden brown and top springs back when lightly touched.
Cool slightly.
Put together in pairs with apricot jam between.
Makes 3 dozen double cookies.
