Peanut Butter Cookies* - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine or butter
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. peanut butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 to 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Beat margarine until soft.
    Add sugars gradually and blend until creamy.
    Beat in egg, peanut butter, salt, baking soda and vanilla.
    Add 1 cup of sifted flour.
    Add more as needed.
    Dough should be soft but not sticky.
    Roll dough in balls.
    Place on cookie sheet.
    Press in crisscross pattern with a fork.
    Dip fork in water before pressing to prevent sticking.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
