Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. raisins, chopped and floured
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. hot, thick applesauce
Preparation

Sift flour once and measure.
Add soda, salt, cinnamon
and cloves; sift together.
Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, raisins and nuts.
Add flour alternately with hot applesauce.
Beat after each addition.
Pour into a greased loaf pan (7 x 5 x 3-inch).
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
