Nine Day Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. cabbage
    2 c. sugar (I use about 1 c.)
    2 onions, chopped
    2 green peppers, cut fine
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. Wesson oil
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Combine cabbage, sugar, onions and peppers; let stand 1 hour after mixed.
    Bring to a boil vinegar, Wesson oil, celery seed and sugar.
    Pour over cabbage and refrigerate.
    Keeps indefinitely.
