Wilted Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. leaf lettuce
    1/4 lb. bacon, chopped fine
    1 small onion, sliced
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Clean and check leaves of lettuce.
    Rinse and drain.
    Cut bacon fine and fry until crisp.
    Remove bacon.
    In same frypan, add vinegar and sugar.
    Stir until sugar is dissolved and bits are removed from bottom of pan.
    Combine in a bowl the lettuce, sliced onion and bacon bits.
    Pour over the warm vinegar solution and serve immediately.
